Township Trustees Special Meeting - Oct. 28

The Chatham Township Board of Trustees will hold a special public hearing on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Chatham Township Community Center located at 6306 Avon Lake Road, Spencer, Ohio 44275.

The Trustees will convene to discuss two township properties found to be in violation of the Zoning Resolution. Pursuant to the Zoning Resolution adopted by the Trustees, the properties located at 6995 Richman Road, Spencer, Ohio and 5216 Avon Lake Road, Litchfield, Ohio 44253, were designated as nuisance properties (collectively referred to as the “Nuisance Properties”), in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Sections 505.87 and 505.871. Additionally, the Trustees have determined that the vehicles present on the Nuisance Properties meet the criteria for junk motor vehicles in accordance with Ohio Revised Code, Section 505.173(E).

The property owners of the Nuisance Properties are encouraged to attend and will be given the opportunity to propose solutions to remedy the identified zoning violations.
